People and tech: how our innovation journey supports yours

Iliad Solutions exists to support payments innovation journeys across the financial services sector. We help a wide range of clients, from the largest global banks and card schemes to cutting edge fintechs and issuer processors.

It’s something we’ve been doing quietly but effectively for more than two decades.

During this time, we’ve also been on our own innovation journey – a journey aimed at staying one step ahead of advancements in technology and the ever-shifting regulatory landscape.

And while it’s fair to say that Iliad Solutions has been at the forefront of transformation in payments, the evolution of our platform has accelerated exponentially in the past two years.

Momentum 25: a results-driven campaign delivering for our customers

This is thanks to a company-wide initiative called Momentum 25, which has centred on ramping up investment in R&D and placing even greater emphasis on client-centric development. In short, it has allowed us to push the boundaries of payment testing.

As we reach the midpoint of 2025, it feels like the perfect moment to reflect on the remarkable set of product innovation and new business achievements, of which our international team can be very proud.

These include modernising the global certification process for one of the planet’s largest card schemes, and enabling a worldwide payment company to enhance and automate its testing capabilities, ensuring complete reliability and compliance.

We’ve also been helping one of the US’s largest card issuers with its external member certification and onboarding process, streamlining a vital function and speeding up time to revenue.

Meanwhile, in Europe, Iliad Solutions brought peace of mind and certainty to a major payment system migration at Hungarian megabank OTP Group, which operates in 11 countries on the Continent. This was followed by a new partnership with Slovenian transaction systems specialist Bankart, who chose us for a multi-year payment testing deal to leverage our world-leading testing capabilities.

Looking at market infrastructure players, an important operator in this space renewed its commitment to working with Iliad Solutions as part of a long-term effort to test and secure national payment networks.

In the UK, the second largest bank by market value chose t3 as the testing and certification partner for its payments modernisation programme, as did a global financial services giant that operates in more than 100 countries.

Finally, we’ve also been very busy assisting two of the world’s largest merchant acquirers – one in the US, the other in Europe collectively processing nearly $800 billion – to certify and onboard their merchant bases.

The above roll call underscores the transformative nature of the past two years – all of which has been driven by a combination of a team that is passionate about enabling innovation and working with diverse businesses that believe in us.

And while some of our recent key achievements can be found in this blog, I feel that where Iliad Solutions stands today is best encapsulated in our new website.

The platform has been designed to provide a comprehensive overview of both our technology and approach to supporting customers. Offering technical information that is accessible and user friendly, this new digital presence truly reflects the accelerated innovation and expanded capabilities  made possible by Momentum 25.

The Solutions section details how we support the adoption of modern payments protocols and systems, such as ISO 20022, FedNow and SEPA Inst to name but a few. In the t3 Platform pages, you’ll find information about our testing tools, which feature regression, functional and automated capabilities among many others. These are all powered by our virtualised architecture and can test up to 15,000 transactions per second.

As we look ahead, our innovation journey continues, driven by a commitment to empowering financial institutions to deploy next-generation payment solutions with confidence, speed and security built in.
